The talk will explore how meditation was presented to and became popular in the US in the 1960s – looking at the organizations of Maharishi, Rajneesh and Arica. Then we’ll all participate in a 60-minute movement/meditation to the music of Deuter/Rajneesh.
Everyone welcome – body limitations are not an issue.
Wear comfortable clothes for moving around.
Kye Potter (b. 1975, Ann Arbor, MI) is an artist, collector, and curator with an interest in the post-Cage avant garde. Recent projects include Naïve Poems w/ Michael Klausman, an anthology of children’s poetry and Jazz Protein, a cassette compilation of jazz / electronic music from the 80s. He lives and works in Los Angeles. @kyepotter
